My Bio
I'm a loooooong-time Cosplayer who decided to take her hobby to the next level, and ended up working on some amazing theatre and ballet shows as a result. Since then I've done some fun and detailed Cosplay I never could have dreamed of before, and I continue to learn and expand my skills all the time. I love to discuss sewing and prop-making, so don't hesitate to comment on anything if you have questions!

I'm also a writer, mostly of fanfic, and I make jewellery as yet another hobby. Because it's not like I don't already have enough to do with my free time, lol.

Oh well, lol. Better late than never, as the title says. Vcon was fun, though smaller than I expected. It was my first time going, and I actually only went because my wife was involved in the writing workshops and really excited about having her work critiqued by Mur Lafferty and Dan Wells. I got to have lunch with Dan Wells which was pretty awesome! The costume competition was also a bit smaller than I expected, but it was my first win! And the

Wow, what an awesome con! I actually haven't had that much FUN at a con in a long time, and I certainly haven't enjoyed so many panels. Makeup, props, advanced materials - you name it, if it's involved in cosplay there was probably a panel about it. Overall the con seemed well organized, things actually happened on time and where they were supposed to for the most part. They added a journeyman category to the costume contest this year, which helped a LOT, giving the people too good to be novices but not quite at master level a chance to really shine. And it was nice to have a panel of judges instead of just one person, so the judgements weren

Sakura-con 2013

0 min read
Wow, it's been a while, we really need to get out to more cons! First time since Sakura 2011 that we had new costumes, so we were super excited. There was a huge flood of Homestuck, of course, but even so we got quite a bit of attention as Dualscar and Mindfang. We had a lot of fun hanging out in the artist's alley with our friends, wandering the dealer's room (same room as the artist's alley this year, which was certainly nice for the artists!), attending a few panels and of course, going to the Homestuck photoshoot/meetup on Saturday. Sadly, we were SO exhausted and in so much pain by the time the 4:00 shoot rolled around, we only stuck wit
